Am 21. Juni wird der Silberling über Big Machine Records erscheinen. Das Album ist eine Countrymusik-Hommage an Tom Petty, liebevoll kuratiert von einigen seiner engsten Freunde und Mitarbeiter, darunter Pettys großartigen Freund George Drakoulias und seinem Kollegen und Sound-Spezialisten Randall Poster. Die aktuell erfolgreichsten Künstler der Countrymusik, geben sich ein Stelldichein – und sie alle haben eines gemeinsam: Sie verleihen einigen seiner größten Hits ihre ganz persönliche Note. Unter anderen haben Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Marty Stuart und Rhiannon Giddens, den großen Songkatalog des Musikstars Petty gesichtet, und jeder der Protagonisten hat sich einen Titel rausgesucht und im Studio ihren ganz eigenen Sound und Stempel verpasst.
